About Celtic Vale

Our Celtic Vale Natural Mineral Water is bottled at source from an artesian spring near Longtown, an idyllic village nesting in the foothills of the Black Mountains on the Herefordshire/Monmouthshire border.

Our business was started by Glyn and Dorinda Watkins in the 1980's as a diversification from sheep farming and it has grown steadily ever since. The couple had the water tested and, after a two year period of rigorous testing to ensure that the mineral water content and flow remained constant, we were granted mineral water status, the highest accolade available within the water industry.

Although bottled water is considered a modern concept, in Victorian times Longtown was renowned for its water quality and purity and was bottled and sent for sale to London.  The water was noted for its exceptional quality and aid to health and vitality.

Our mineral water rises to the surface under natural pressure and travels straight from the spring to our bottling plant which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The business has grown considerably since the early days, the 80,000 gallon production capability per day of the spring, coupled with the purpose built bottling plant, ensures the company has the potential to fulfill any production requirement.

Today we bottle a range of products in glass and plastic bottles of varying sizes.  Our success has been our due to our passionate belief in offering the highest quality of product with a reliable service. Our customers are very important to us and remaining a family run business ensures the service we are able to offer is second to none.
